We do detailed historical and contemporary research and fact checking for authors, publishers and businesses. 

We compile source and bibliography lists. 

Our services include archival research. We are located in the Washington DC area, near the Library of Congress, the National Archives, the Smithsonian and many other libraries and institutions.

We also organize, sort and catalog personal libraries.

About Me

Susan Kusel is an experienced librarian and professional researcher. She has 20 years of experience working in public libraries, special libraries and bookstores as a librarian and book buyer. She absolutely loves to research.

She is a children's book expert and book reviewer. She has served on the Caldecott Medal selection committee and many other award committees. She holds a master's degree in library science from the University of Maryland.

She was the recipient of the 2023 American Library Association Equality Award and was named as a Library Journal Mover & Shaker.  

She won the Sydney Taylor Book Award for her debut picture book, The Passover Guest, illustrated by Sean Rubin, published by Neal Porter Books/Holiday House.

Why Dream On?

I’ve been told so many times to dream on, you can’t do this.  Dream on, that will never work.

So I decided to think about it in a different way.

Books are about dreaming on and finding the magical places they take you. Let's dream on to new possibilities.
